Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa engaged with diplomats from Ethiopia, Denmark, and Iraq to explore various developmental initiatives aimed at enhancing Islamabad’s infrastructure and environmental sustainability, as reported on August 2.

As per details, Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula Chairman Randhawa focused on ongoing projects designed to beautify Islamabad and transform it into a modern, green city. Ambassador Abdula expressed keen interest in participating in the Margalla Hill plantation drive, drawing on Ethiopia’s successful Green Corridor Project in Addis Ababa. In response, Chairman Randhawa welcomed the proposal and suggested designating a specific area for the Ethiopian Embassy to conduct tree plantation activities. In another discussion, Danish Ambassador to Pakistan Jakob Linulf commended the CDA’s efforts to promote green and environmentally-friendly initiatives. He offered Denmark’s expertise in renewable energy and solid waste management to support Islamabad’s development, and expressed interest in the Margalla Hills plantation campaign.
