Lahore: The Punjab Communication & Works Department (C&W) has prepared a plan to construct 391 roads in the province in its bid to facilitate road connectivity with the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects – a news source reported. As per officials, this initiative is expected to cost PKR 100 billion.

According to details, the Punjab government is making efforts to ensure comprehensive connection of all the districts of the province with CPEC routes in the province. The government has also decided to repair and maintain other roads where needed.

The department has also prepared comprehensive maps of 21,000 roads in rural areas of Punjab. The project is expected to be completed in two years.
