The decision came during a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Major (retd) Azam Suleman Khan on Thursday. The meeting reviewed the Annual Development Programme (ADP), mega projects, and public-private partnership schemes.
The CS stated that C&W should start the e-tendering process at the earliest from its own department to ensure transparency in the procurement of goods and services. He added that using modern technology would help prevent corruption and boost transparency.
C&W Secretary Captain (retd) Asadullah said that they were finalising matters for introducing the e-tendering system, which they will soon launch as a pilot project in Punjab.
