Islamabad: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ali Akbar on Thursday ordered strict action against wrong parking in the city, a news source reported. He further directed local wardens and field officers to monitor wrong parking incidents and take all necessary action on this front.

The CTO highlighted that wrong parking was among the main issues causing traffic problems in Islamabad. He added that any individuals found violating the law in this regard would face strict action. He said that the authorities concerned would also confiscate illegally-parked vehicles.
Akbar stated that they were making efforts to regulate traffic in the capital. He also requested citizens to cooperate with the traffic police in order to resolve traffic issues. He added that this was necessary for facilitating motorists and streamlining traffic on city roads.

He revealed that lifters would be used to remove illegally-parked vehicles from busy roads.
