In the absence of a proper road-crossing facility for pedestrians, a number of road accidents have taken place on this important avenue.
City Traffic Officer Malik Liaqat said that the road lacks any arrangement for people looking to reach the other side. The Lahore Development Authority made this route signal-free several months ago.
Due to the high speeds of passing vehicles, pedestrians face problems in crossing the road. This situation also causes a rise in the number of reported road-side accidents.

To deal with these issues, the Traffic Police Office has requested the Traffic Engineering & Planning Agency, as well as the LDA, in writing to construct a pedestrian bridge on this road.
