KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary (CS) Raja Mohammad Abbas has urged the secretary works and services department to ensure immediate repair of Badin-Karachi Highway. In a meeting, he said safety of road network in the flood-hit areas of the province must be prioritised and repair of damaged roads should be undertaken immediately.
The CS also directed secretaries of different provincial departments to develop a liaison with Pakistan Disaster Management Authority, Relief Commissionerate for timely and efficient relief of the flood victims. He said the departments including health, home, irrigation, rehabilitation and local government must ensure coordinated efforts to rehabilitate and facilitate the people affected from rain and floods.
