Multan: Multan Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Parks and Horticullture Authority (PHA) Director General Mudassir Riaz has issued orders to launch crackdown against illegal hoardings, reported a news source. The orders have been issued to Multan District Management and PHA.
DC Multan shared details on the plan of action in a meeting held with PHA officials.
The concerned officials will remove unapproved signboards and hoardings. Furthermore, the billboards that pose threats to lives and property of people will also be removed.
In addition to that, as per the orders, legal action will taken against the people responsible for setting up these boards.
To launch the crackdown special teams have been formed to carry out inspection of billboards in the city. Multan assistant commissioner will supervise the teams removing unsafe and illegal hoardings. The same teams will also file cases against those behind the practice.
