Rawalpindi: In response to directives from the Punjab government, the district administration in Murree has taken decisive action against illegal constructions, as reported by a local news source. Commissioner Rawalpindi, Aamer Khattak, directed the formation of three teams to execute this operation, each headed by key officials including Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, retired Captain Qasim Ijaz, Assistant Commissioner, retired Captain Abdul Wahab Khan, and the DFO Murree. These teams comprise personnel from various departments, all briefed on their specific duties.
The primary goal is the effective elimination of illegal constructions, with a focus on enhancing civic amenities in Murree. Deputy Commissioner Shirazi emphasized the commitment to transforming Murree into a clean and green destination, urging residents and visitors to contribute by utilizing designated garbage bins for waste disposal.
Furthermore, efforts to combat artificial price inflation are underway, with price magistrates instructed to monitor markets closely and take legal action against offenders. Additionally, hotels and restaurants are subject to daily inspections to ensure compliance with pricing regulations set by the administration.
