Currently, ETNCD falls short of meeting the target for the current fiscal year by 30%. The deadline to meet this target expires in 20 days. To make the collection possible, the department has cancelled its staff’s leaves.
Regarding the crackdown that starts today, the teams have received instructions to seal properties of the tax defaulters and arrest them.

Authorities believe that starting the recovery operation right after the Eid Holidays can create problems for the tax defaulters. The crackdown might also face resistance.
