Lahore: The Punjab Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has started a crackdown against property tax defaulters, according to national dailies on February 22.
According to details shared, the Excise & Taxation Department can issue arrest warrants for the defaulter and auction their property or penalise them with a surcharge. To avoid these repercussions, the department has recommended that property owners urgently submit their pending taxes to any branch of the State Bank or National Bank of Pakistan.
