Mansehra: A number of illegal housing societies were raided by police in Mansehra, according to a news report. Assistant commissioner Khurram Rehman Jadoon and a police party raided a commercial plaza on Shinkiari Road and sealed various offices of the Khyial Housing Society as they had received various complaints related to fraudulent behaviour of these developers.
The people had complained that the society’s administration had received huge sums of money for the allotment of plots, but no proper allotment had taken place, primarily because the society had no land. A society owner fled prior to the raid and the assistant commissioner investigated the sales personnel before letting them go.
The assistant commissioner said that they are cracking down against all illegal housing societies in the area which were currently offering plots in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
