Peshawar: The Local Government and Rural Development Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Secretary Syed Jamal Uddin Shah has instructed the Town Municipal Authorities (TMAs) to launch a crackdown against illegal housing societies throughout the province, according to a news source. The move has been taken on the orders of the KP Chief Secretary Azam Khan.
During a meeting presided by Shah and attended by representatives of KP TMAs, performance of the TMAs in the last two months was assessed. Shah also ordered moving bus stations, and fruit and vegetable markets outside the city limits. The meeting decided to speed up the drive against encroachment and ensure cleanliness within respective jurisdictions of all TMAs.
