Islamabad: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Chairman Asif Saleem Bajwa on Saturday stated that CPEC youth internship programme had been initiated, a news source reported. He revealed this information in a series of Twitter posts; adding that the programme was aimed at empowering the youth in the country.

In his tweets, Bajwa said that the three-month long CPEC youth internship programme would help the individuals develop skills and earn experience. He added that this measure would assist the growth and prosperity of Pakistan’s future.
The CPEC Authority chairman highlighted that the programme would create young leaders. He added that all eligible Pakistanis could apply for the internship.

According to the details revealed, around 60% of the country’s population falls under the youth category. Bajwa said that this statistic presented a significant opportunity for developing young leaders in the county with maximum productivity – which would bring Pakistan on par with other regional economies.
