Islamabad: The federal government on Monday announced that it was all set to float the international tender for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway M-6 this week, a news source reported. To this effect, officials revealed that the executive would issue the tender on July 31.

The Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway M-6 is a significant project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The departments concerned will complete it on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis.
National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman Sikander Qayyum stated that the government would advertise the tender for the project at an international level. He added that the paper work for the motorway had reached completion status.

The M-6 project comprises the construction of a 306km-long and 6-lane-wide motorway, which will also be access-controlled. It will be a high-speed toll road facility starting from the end of the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway and terminate at the start of the Sukkur-Multan Motorway. The route will pass through Jamshoro, Tando Adam, Hala, Shahdadpur, Nawabshah, Dadu, Moro, Naushahro Feroze, Rasoolpur, Mehrabpur, Larakana, Khairpur, and Sukkur.
