Islamabad: Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Minister Muhammad Sami Saeed urged ministries and divisions to expedite China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Gwadar, reported by a news source on October 11.

As per the details, a meeting held on Tuesday to assess project progress was attended by key figures, including the Planning Ministry Secretary, Maritime Affairs Secretary, Chief Economist, Gwadar Port Authority Chairman, Gwadar Development Authority Director-General, and representatives from various ministries. Representatives briefed the minister on the status of their respective Gwadar projects.

Major initiatives like the Gwadar Power Plant, Gwadar East-bay Expressway Project, Gwadar Free Zone, Gwadar Port, New Gwadar International Airport Project, Khuzdar-Panjgur Transmission line (via Nag-Basima), distribution of 2,000 boat engines to local fishermen, China-Pak Friendship Hospital, and China-Pak Technical and Vocational Institute, were discussed. The minister emphasised their importance in the region.
