Islamabad: While speaking to a gathering of the ambassadors of several Central Asian countries on Wednesday, the Director of Dadabhoy Group Habibullah Dadabhoy remarked that Turkmenistan was a natural partner for Pakistan China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) extension in trade and energy spheres, according to the news sources.

Referring to the historical ties between the two nations and the fact that Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognise Turkmenistan in December 1991, he expressed these sentiments during the special lunch that was organised by the Center for Peace, Security and Developmental Studies, an initiative of the Dadabhoy Group.
As many as 12 ambassadors from the central Asian countries were in attendance at this lunch to honour the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Embassy of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov.

The ambassador addressed the assembly as well and said that Pakistan and Turkmenistan are brotherly nations and that joint initiatives on trade and energy will benefit both countries, with trade to strengthen bonds and energy to fuel economic growth.
