Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund has received more pledges of donations, including a contribution of PKR 50 million from the Habib Metro Bank and PKR 7.2 million from the Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), geared towards supporting Pakistan’s ongoing fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, a news source reported.

According to details, the Habib Metro Bank has donated PKR 20 million to the PM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. Habib Metro Bank President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohsin Ali Nathani presented the donation to the Governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr Raza Baqir.

TEVTA Chairman Ali Salman presented a cheque worth PKR 7.2 million to the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) for the CM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund on behalf of officers, teachers and staff of TEVTA. The CM praised the spirit the TEVTA staff and teachers, and thanked them for their contribution. He said that the amount will be disbursed to the needy and deserving.
