Islamabad: The countrywide registration process for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) will commence from today, a news source reported. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will launch the initiative in the capital city.

The registration forms for the affordable housing scheme will be uploaded to the website of the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA). These forms will also be available on the NADRA eSahulat franchise.
As per the instructions communicated, only one member of a family (comprising the two spouses and their children) will be allowed to register for the NPHP project. The government has announced a three-month deadline for the registration process.

The current government has launched the NPHP with a view to meet the target of providing low-income housing and constructing five million homes in the five years of its tenure. The scheme will allow people belonging to low-income brackets to pay for the affordable homes in instalments.
