Lahore: In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lahore district administration has decided to perform door-to-door, mobile screening for pathogen detection — a news source reported.

The screening unit’s 9 vehicles will be present on the major roads of the city and the staff will visit the streets and homes to screen the city’s citizens for the novel coronavirus.
Providing details of the mobile units, Additional Deputy Commissioner Hussain Virk revealed that a total 16 screening units would be operational during this initiative. Initially, there were expected to be 9 units only and these were promptly made fully functional. Reportedly, an additional 7 units will be added to the operation at a later date.

According to the details available, the testing process will involve screening the city’s citizens through thermal guns. If somebody is found suspected to have the coronavirus infection, the teams will immediately inform the district administration.
Moreover, the teams are also expected to conduct screenings on the city’s roads. An early screening can ensure better recovery for those sick with the coronavirus.
