Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali was briefed on Thursday (Sept 3) that the consultant for the development of the Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP) in Sarozai, Peshawar had been finalised, a news source reported. This information was shared during the monthly review meeting held to discuss various projects overseen under the KP Housing Department.
Presiding over the session, Dr Ali directed the officials concerned to complete the development work of high rise apartments for government employees in Hayatabad Phase 5 within the stipulated time frame. He further ordered for the ground breaking ceremony of flat units in the Civil Quarters to be held within three weeks.

The minister was informed that construction work was in full swing at the Jalozai Housing Scheme project site – and that it would be completed by year end. The project would see to the addition of 2,500 kanals of land in its third phase, said the briefing officer.
The meeting was further intimated that for the construction of the NPHP Housing Scheme-Saruzaimain’s main entrance, boundary wall and check posts, the Housing Department had sought approval from Planning and Development Working Party.

Commenting on the latest update received on the establishment of Satellite Towns in Swat, Khyber District, Bajaur, and Waziristan, the minister directed the authorities concerned to complete the land identification process and feasibility studies for these projects. In response, Dr Ali was informed that the department had identified land for developing the said initiatives in Peshawar, Swat, Kohat, Abbottabad, Kohat, Mardan, Lakki Marwat, D.I Khan, Malakand, Tank, and Khyber District.
