Peshawar: District Nazim Peshawar Muhammad Asim Khan has instructed the Building Control Authority (BCA) Committee Chairman Asif Khan to demolish structures constructed against the approved map in all four towns of the city, according to a news source. Khan also issued orders for forcefully stopping development work on projects for which the map hasn’t been approved yet.
Khan issued these orders in a meeting held with the BCA Committee Chairman and BCA staff of all four towns. The meeting discussed the map sent to BCA for approval, and also approved maps for commercial units that met the set standards and rejected many that didn’t.
It was also decided that rules will be passed in all towns making it mandatory for the builders to leave extra spaces on the sides and back of the building. Furthermore, stern action will be taken against those involved in initiating construction work without a formal approval of the map.
The BCA staff in all towns will be made to approve or reject maps in a time slot of one month or stern action will be taken against them.
