Narowal: The authorities concerned have completed 40% of the construction work related to the Kartarpur Corridor – a news source reported,
The corridor is expected to be launched in nine months. Labour work is underway round-the-clock. According to the officials, construction work on the roads running between Gurdwara Baba Guru Nanak and the Indo-Pak border has been completed by 40%.

Moreover, labour work on the bed of a 1.10km road which connects Gurdwara to the River Ravi has been completed. Similarly, construction of a bridge on Ravi is underway. A 2.25km-long road is also being constructed.
The district government plans to acquire 1,076 acres of land for the Kartarpur extension project. The federal government had issued the orders with regard to land acquisition.

For land acquisition, the district government has forwarded a summary to the Punjab government. The District Price Assessment Committee will determine land prices after securing the provincial government’s nod.
