Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmed Aziz Tarar on Thursday visited the stations developed under the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project-Package II on Multan Road, a news source reported. During his visit to the project site, the LDA DG reviewed the ongoing construction work.

An LDA spokesperson revealed that Project Director Akbar Hussain briefed the DG on the development work on the OLMT project-Package II stations. Tarar also visited the stations in Chauburji/Awan Town. He further inspected the rehabilitation work, following the electrical and mechanical works at these stations, executed by the Chinese contractor CR Norenko.
Chief Engineer Habib-ul-Haq Randhawa apprised the DG regarding the situation of the work being conducted along the OLMT route. He revealed that officers concerned had completed 95% of the work on the ‘eight grade works’ on the OLMT route from Dera Gujran to Ali Town. He added that 95% of the construction work on the route had also reached completion.

During his visit, Tarar directed the project contractor to complete the ongoing development work on the station building at the earliest, before the beginning of the train operations. He added that this way the public would have access to a complete transport package.
