According to the said report, the construction work at several stations has reached its final phase. Also, the control room intended for overseeing the BRT Ticketing System operation has also neared completion. As per the project’s contractors, the development work at the project site is being carried out on a 24/7 basis – with this routine due to change during Ramzan (when the labourers will be instructed to work night shifts).
Reportedly, a total of 70 buses for the metro project have reached Peshawar, while another fleet of 57 will arrive by the end of June. To safely park these vehicles, the authority concerned has taken several precautionary measures.
Several sources claim that the buses are currently parked in the city’s Dabgari Garden and Hayyatabad areas.
