Gwadar: The construction work on the first private resort – developed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project – on the coast of Gwadar has been completed, a news source reported. The AM99 Group has developed this project, titled ‘Gwadar Beach Resort and Club’.

As per reports, the Gwadar Beach Resort and Club is first-ever resort constructed on the CPEC route which runs between Gwadar and Khunjerab, and will prove to be an important tourist destination. The entire project is spread over 50 acres of land and includes a five-star hotel, apartments, a trade centre, and an expo centre.

The then-government had approved the project construction in 2016. As per officials, the first phase of the project has been completed in a short span of time.
The resort is located opposite to the land proposed for the construction of the Gwadar airport, and is being run solely on solar energy. It has been designed under the guidance of Malaysian experts. As per reports, promising features of the scheme have been the cause of heavy investment from overseas Pakistanis.
