Sources revealed that after damage to the Golen Gol Water Supply Scheme, around 40,000 people of Chitral Town stopped receiving clean drinking water. The residents of the town area were getting water supply from the Angar Ghon Water Supply Scheme from time to time. However, the residents of Koghazi to Danin areas were facing difficulties due to lack of sufficient water.
On the other hand, the GLOF event had also destroyed the water resources of the 107MW hydropower house and washed away the irrigation pipeline.
