Quetta: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta has decided to engage contractors for the construction of ‘Signature Houses’ in the residential scheme, according to a post shared on the authority’s official Facebook page on June 4th.

According to the details, DHA Quetta has invited bids from contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and DHA Quetta (C-5 and above) for the construction of the grey structures of Signature Houses of different sizes (1-kanal and 5- & 16-marla) in Sector A, Phase-I of the housing society.
The post also states that interested firms can obtain tender documents from the Director of Town Planning & Building Control, DHA Quetta during office hours. The documents will be available from June 5th to June 15th. It was mentioned that the tender documents can be obtained by submitting a written request on the firm’s letterhead and making a non-refundable payment of PKR 5,000 per set as a pay order favouring DHA Quetta.
Moreover, the post also states that sealed technical and financial proposals (one original and two copies) duly completed in all respects should be submitted to the TP&BC Directorate by June 26th at the latest. The following are some of the terms and conditions mentioned in the post:

- Incomplete documents shall be treated as non-responsive and rejected.
- Construction firms/contractors not registered with PEC will not be eligible to submit a bid.
- DHA Quetta reserves the right to reject any or all firms as per the provisions of rules and regulations.
- Bid documents issued by DHA Quetta should be duly hand-filled by the contractor to be considered.
