Multan: The Punjab government has shared the details of under-construction roads and flyovers in Multan, according to news published on September 2.

Executive Engineer Highways mentioned that PKR 22 billion is being spent on the construction of 50 roads and flyovers in the city. As per the details, a two-way road from Syedanwala Bypass Bosan Road to Chenab River Bank road is being constructed, at the accumulated cost of PKR 1 billion. After the completion of the project, the Bosan Road to Head Muhammad Wala Road will be widened by 80 feet and the travel time will be reduced between Multan to Bhakkar, Layyah, and Taunsa Sharif.
Moreover, the construction of a carriageway from Sher Shah to Nishtar-II Shujaabad Road is in progress, at the cost of PKR 560 million. It will decrease the distance between DG Khan and Motorway Interchange. It was mentioned that PKR 2.80 billion is being spent on the construction of the Nadirabad flyover in Muzaffarabad. According to details, the piling work is underway and the project is expected to be completed by 2024.

Likewise, construction work is under progress on a 21-kilometre-long two-way road from the fertilizer factory to Matti Tal Road, at the cost of PKR 2.50 billion. It was informed that the construction of the road up to Women University has been completed. The carriageway project from Shujaabad to Jalapur Pirwala has been approved at the accumulated cost of PKR 2.50 billion and its tender will soon be floated. It was disclosed that PKR 1.20 billion funds were being utilised for the construction of the Tughluq Town flyover in Multan city.
