NHA officials revealed that the authority intended to begin construction work on the Hoshab-Awaran-Khuzdar section. They stated that the federal government had allocated PKR 4 billion for the project in the Public Sector Development Programme 2020-21. They added that NHA would complete the construction within a time frame of 42 months.
An official of the NHA said that the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) had recently provided its approval to the construction of this significant section of the Ratodero-Gwadar Motorway M-8.
According to details shared, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has recommended the project to ECNEC at a rationalised cost of PKR 25.8 billion – excluding the foreign exchange component by deleting the security cost worth PKE 207.4 million.
