Lahore: The Punjab government on Friday announced its decision to build a parking plaza in Murree, a news source reported. As per details revealed, this parking plaza would have host approximately 4,000 vehicles on a daily basis.

Punjab Housing & Urban Development Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed shared the information on construction of the parking plaza during a meeting of the Murree Improvement Trust. Several senior officials and members of the trust attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the minister also took notice of the encroachments creating traffic problems in the area. He directed the officials concerned to take strict measures for removing these encroachments and pave the way for smooth traffic flow. He added that these measures were necessary for maintaining the beauty of the hill station.

Rasheed also extended his appreciation to Trust members for their efforts in starting development schemes in Murree. To this effect, he directed the officials concerned to ensure the completion of these schemes on a timely basis. He also highlighted that the matters related to the Trust were being dealt with in a transparent manner.
