Lahore: To control traffic situation and improve its flow, project plan has been prepared to construct a flyover and an underpass in Shahdara, reported a news sources. In this regard, a survey has also been initiated.
The projects to improve traffic situation in the city were discussed in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. During this session, Khan gave instructions to start the related projects.
For this flyover in Shahdara, construction of an elevated flyover model similar to that constructed on Ferozepur Road is being considered. This flyover will connected Shahdara with Sheikhupura and Ravi Road. While the underpass will be constructed below the railway track to smoothen out traffic flow.
For preparation of projects’ PC-1, the Lahore Development Authority has also been assigned the task. The approval of PC-1 will be granted by Planning and Development Department. Reportedly, land for the construction of a flyover and underpass is yet to be acquired in Shahdara Chowk.
