Lahore: Punjab Minister for Industry & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the construction of the Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park will be completed in four phases, according to a news source. The park will promote the country’s textile sector, and enhance exports.

Speaking at meeting held to discuss project development of the park, the minister said that the project has already faced lapses. The government will not allow any more delays in completing Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park, he added.
The meeting discussed various models for completion of the project. Important official representing Punjab Industrial Estate Development and Management Company and Depart of Industry and Trade.

The minister also received a briefing on the project. The project site is located 40 kilometres north-west of Lahore in Sheikhupura. It spans 1,500 acres.
Iqbal announced that the project will be completed under four phases. He also announced that no more delays will be tolerated in its completion. He mentioned that establishment of industrial estate is part of the Punjab Government’s core motives.
