Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has begun construction work on the underpass at Shamsabad, Murree Road near Gulshan Dadan Khan’s Jamia Masjid, a news source reported. The underpass will be used by the pedestrians to cross the road.
According to RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan, the underpass would cost PKR 20 million and will be completed in 3 months. He further added that the underpass will be eight feet wide and 500 metres long.
Hafiz Muhammad Irfan explained that the public, particularly the elderly, women, and children were facing problems in crossing Murree Road. So, the former MNA Hanif Abbasi worked to have this and other similar underpasses on the road approved through the federal government.
