Gwadar: The authorities concerned have commenced with the construction work of the country’s largest airport facility in Gwadar, a news source reported. As per details, a Chinese cargo ship tasked with transporting the construction material for the project recently docked at the Gwadar port.
The airport project is being developed on a joint venture basis between Pakistan and China. The Chinese ship carrying the supplies and materials for the airport brought 40 containers of the construction material to Gwadar. An event was held to mark the occasion.
This is the first shipment of the construction materials. The students of the University of Balochistan’s Turbat campus and the Gwadar College were also invited to the event that marked the arrival of these materials. Following its completion, the airport is expected to serve the ambitious Gwadar project over the next few decades.
