Gwadar: The management of New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) has awarded a PKR 3.2 billion contract to Qavi Engineers Ltd for the construction of state-of-the-art residential facilities for the Airport Security Force (ASF).
The ASF, operating under the administrative control of the Aviation Division, is responsible for safeguarding Pakistan’s aviation industry under the ASF Act of 1975. The upcoming accommodation facilities will include five residential buildings, family apartments, hostels, a library, a mess, a hospital, a mosque, and a sports complex.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the construction is expected to be completed within two years. Meanwhile, NGIA has already developed a modern residential complex for designated CAA officers, featuring centrally air-conditioned units, uninterrupted power supply, WiFi connectivity, a sewerage network, and potable water pipelines.
To enhance the livability of the area, a green zone is being developed around the residential complex, with tree plantations underway. Many of these plants have been sourced from the Plant Tissue Culture Lab and Green House, part of the Belt and Road Engineering Research Centre for Tropical Arid Non-Wood Forest, established in collaboration with China’s Central South University of Forestry and Technology and China Overseas Port Holding.
