Islamabad: The Balochistan government has said that it is unable to construct an alternative route for the extension of Pishin Road, according to a news report. The alternative route is being sought to avoid the cutting down of trees. The provincial government said this during the hearing of a suo motu case at the Supreme Court.
The SC has summoned Communication, Works Planning and Housing Department secretary to look into the report produced by the government in this regard. The matter of cutting of trees has been taken up because of an FIR issued under the Forest Act by the Forest Department. The SC committee looking into this matter has concluded that an alternate plan for the extension can be carried out. The hearing for this case has been adjourned for 15 days.
