Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced the construction of 2.1 million houses costing Rs 650 billion for flood-affected people in the province, as reported on June 10.

As per details, during the inauguration ceremony at Naya Nazimabad, CM emphasised the government’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of those impacted by floods. Murad Ali Shah noted that a substantial portion of the required financing, Rs 550 billion, has already been secured for this ambitious endeavor. He also expressed confidence in projects like Naya Nazimabad, recognizing their contribution to urban regeneration and economic prosperity in the province.

In addition to housing initiatives, Naya Nazimabad is set to host a range of value-added projects, including a 60-room hotel and educational facilities such as Habib University scholarships. CM concluded the event by inaugurating several value-added projects, including the Gymkhana, flyover, and Jamia Masjid, marking another milestone in the province’s journey towards inclusive development and prosperity.
