Attock: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam announced that construction of 12-kilometre long Bhatiot Boota road has started, according to media reports published on Monday (November 15).

As per the details, the Bhatiot Boota road will benefit residents of Attock and seven villages of Tehsil Jand, which includes Dhok Rati Kasi, Salman Abad, Dhok Kala, Khunda, Bhatiot, Mahora, Chontra, and other nearby areas. CM’s aide stated that this road will facilitate travellers from Pindigheb as well.

Reportedly, the road will reduce the distance of the villages from Attock by almost 40 kilometres and will also provide better travelling facilities. According to sources, the villagers have to cover 80 to 100 kilometres to reach Attock. With the construction of Bhatiot Boota road, the distance will be reduced by 50%. Once constructed, the road is expected to generate economic activities.
