Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Capital Development Authority Ali Nawaz Awan has announced that the construction work for the Bhara Kahu flyover would begin soon, a news source reported on August 21.

He stated that, in a meeting held with the National Highway Authority (NHA) officials, the matter of opening the 17-mile U-turn on the Bhara Kahu Road was discussed and its timeline as well. The meeting also discussed the matter of installing a pedestrian bridge in Malpur, Islamabad.
Moreover, the meeting was briefed about the stages at which each of these projects currently stood and the SAPM was assured that all of these projects would be soon launched.

The meeting was also attended by NHA Chairman Captain (retd) Sikandar Qayyum, other high officials of the NHA and officials from the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) as well.
