Karachi: City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art sports complex and three stadiums will be constructed at the 20-acre Star Ground at Sherpao Colony in Malir, according to news published on April 24.

As per the details, the administrator stated that these projects will be completed by December 31, at the cost of PKR 2.5 billion. He went on to say that the roads near the sports complex in Malir will also be built. For recreational purposes, the Benazir Bhutto Park is also being constructed, added the administrator Wahab.

Sharing details about the park, he revealed that a play area for children, a walking track, a jogging track, and a separate area for women will be provided. Moreover, a monument will be placed at the Hussaini Chowk, which will be the hallmark of the Sherpao Colony. He further added that open spaces and playgrounds are being preserved in the city.
