Mansehra: The district administration on Wednesday imposed a ban on both commercial and non-commercial constructions in Kaghan Valley as per Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Tourism Vision, according to media reports.

According to a directive issued by Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan, there have been complaints concerning unplanned construction of commercial and domestic buildings that have not received no-objection certifications from the Kaghan Development Authority. It was also said that all such structures are unlawful and that quick action to ban them is required. The directive stated that building permits must be secured from the Kaghan Development Authority before work may begin.

During Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Kaghan Valley, he noticed mushroom building and ordered a crackdown against unplanned construction in Kaghan Valley, notably in the commercial hub of Naran. Furthermore, the government has devised a strategy to turn the valley into an international tourism attraction. It was also disclosed that steps are being taken to protect the environment in order to attract tourists.
