Islamabad: To prevent illegal construction in the capital, a construction ban of two months has been placed in the city, according to a news report. Assistant Commissioner Saad bin Asad has imposed Section 144 in different areas of the capital, because of which no construction activity can be carried out in I-11, IJP Road, and its neighbouring areas.
A previous drive by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) took action against illegal buildings and hotels, but now action is being taken against the big buildings that were constructed illegally. This drive is being carried out with the help of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and ICT police.
