The committee members include officials from various departments. These officials will visit the assigned site to gather information regarding market price of the property that the government intends to purchase for the road project. Additionally, to prevent land selling, section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 will be imposed. Furthermore, it was learned that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has agreed to videotape the committee’s proceedings in order to make the process more transparent. On orders of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, the 38.3-kilometre-long ring road project is already part of the Annual development programme at PKR 6.7 billion.
