Quetta: The construction of the Turbat-Buleda Highway will reach completion in 2020, a news source reported. The Provincial Minister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Ahmed Buledi visited the project site in Buleda tehsil on Thursday. He reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction of the highway.

Commissioner Makran division Captain (retd) Tariq Zehri briefed the minister on the construction of 32-km long Turbat-Buleda highway. He revealed that a 19-km stretch of the highway will reach completion by the end of this year. This will be the first phase of the construction.
The final phase of the project will include the construction of the remaining 13-km stretch. Authorities concerned will complete this phase by March 2020, he added.
It is expected that the constructed highway will offer ease to the residents of Turbat and Buleda. The commissioner also stated that the project received PKR 600 million from the allocated development budget.
The information minister has directed the authorities concerned to increase the pace of the construction work, especially of the bridges. He also warned against the use of low-quality materials, stating that no tolerance will be shown on this matter.

Zehri has assured the construction companies of the timely provision of funds. He also directed them to utilise heavy machinery in order to timely complete the construction of the highway within the promised time.
