Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to complete the Rawal Dam Chowk Flyover project by September, according to a news story published on April 17.

The PM visited the project site to check the progress of the construction work and decided that the development pace must be expedited and completed by September this year. Many political leaders including Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahsan Iqbal, and others were also present on the occasion.

During the visit, the prime minister ordered an inquiry into the delay of the project. During his project briefing, CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed assured that the contractor of the project will be changed and the project’s pace will pick up. Moreover, PM Shehbaz has directed to widen the Park Road by adding one lane on both sides. The minister will visit the project site to check the pace of work every Saturday to ensure timely completion.
