Multan: Multan Development Authority (MDA) Additional Director General (ADG) Chaudhary Muhammad Anwar has instructed the officials concerned to complete survey to identify benami properties in three days, a news source reported.

The ADG has also directed the MDA Town Planning and Urban Planning Officers and field staff to share reports on a daily basis. ADG Anwar mentioned that the federal government has shared details on the benami Act to remove common misconceptions. He also said that the MDA is also using popular mediums to seek public assistance to identify such properties and help spread the message.

He requested citizens of Multan to share details regarding owners of benami properties and assets with the MDA by giving a call on +92-61-920-0881 and +92-61-920-0836. As announced by the authority, name of people sharing such information will be kept confidential.
To help speed up the identification process, the MDA ADG directed the field staff to keep local patwaris in the loop during this survey and share a report daily.
