Lahore: Crowds of people thronged with their complaints at a public hearing by the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) on 17th March 2018, reported a news report. These participants primarily had concerns over the workings of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and other similar organisations.
Addressing the participants, the CCP Chairperson Vadiyya Khalil said that most housing societies are misleading buyers through advertisements while they don’t have the landmarks and amenities they claim to have.
The LDA deputy director said that the organisation is looking into the matter of bylaws being followed and will take all measures necessary to correct any discrepancies.
Present at the occasion were officials from the Association of Builders and Developers who agreed to lend support to the CCP in ensuring all procedures are followed through.
