Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza revealed on Friday (July 19) that the government has launched a complaint management system to help address issues faced by the health workers treating COVID-19 patients in the country, a news source reported.

The SAPM shared this information after attending a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre in Islamabad. He said that the system allows determining the origin and category of the complaint as soon as it’s lodged. The concern will then be forwarded to the respective focal person appointed by the government at the provincial level.
The complaints can be filed in the form of an SMS sent to 1166 and through WhatsApp on +92-300-111-11-66. The focal persons’ staff in the respective provinces will also inform the complainant about the status of their complaint and how it is being resolved.

‘The government has set up the complaint management system to facilitate the health workers as they are on the frontline fighting the COVID-19 pandemic’, said Dr. Mirza.
