The ruling came in response to a calling attention notice jointly moved by MNAs Qadir Mandokhail, Salahuddin, and Mohammad Abu Bakar. Deputy Speaker Durrani emphasized that pending compensation for both sectors should be given based on the current market value of land and houses. The development of G-14 sector is being carried out by FGEHA, while the responsibility for E-12 sector lies with the CDA.
During the discussion in the assembly, Parliamentary Secretary for Housing and Works, Syed Mehmood Shah, informed that the FGEHA had acquired the G-14 sector in 2005, and most landlords had already received compensation. However, around 25% of landlords in one sub-sector of G-14 were creating obstacles, demanding payment according to the current market value. Nevertheless, Deputy Speaker Durrani emphasized that if the payments were still pending, the FGEHA must settle them in line with the current market rates.
