Lahore: The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Committee of M-3 Industrial City has granted special-enterprise status to three companies to boost economic activity in Punjab, according to a news story published on Tuesday (January 11).

As per the details, the three private companies are expected to bring PKR 11.5 billion, which will generate employment opportunities. The industries with special enterprise status will be given income tax exemption for 10 years and a one-time exemption on customs duty for the import of machinery.
Reportedly, Provincial Minister for Commerce and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal on Monday (January 10) has directed the authorities to speed up the development works in the SEZ. He added that the customers should be provided exceptional services through a one-window operation.
